I had a really disappointing experience with the interview process for this role. Because of unexpected train cancellations, I couldn't make it to my scheduled interview. I tried calling the recruiter earlier that day but they didn't pick up, so I followed up with both an email and a text message to try and reschedule. Sadly, I didn't get any response back. Then, I was really surprised to get an email not too long after saying the company had decided not to move forward with my application.

The process was pretty straightforward. First, I had to do a written test in person that covered English and Maths, which wasn't too hard. Then, there was a face-to-face interview where they asked about 10 questions. Some were behavioral, asking about specific situations like de-escalating or convincing someone. They also asked why I applied and clarified what the job involves and if I was ready for the environment. After that, there was a physical fitness test involving getting on one and then both knees, and standing up with arms outstretched. Finally, they inquired about any upcoming holidays or other commitments I might have. I felt the interview went well, but a week later, I got an email saying they were moving forward with other candidates.

The selection process was really well organised. I made it to the second stage, which involved English and Maths exams and a 45-minute in-depth interview. I'm not sure how many people they were hiring, but there were over 60 candidates interviewed. It was quite an impressive experience. I got the feeling there was a lot of internal movement for positions, and external candidates were just going through the motions to meet requirements. Despite the rigorous process, I received a one-line rejection with no feedback.
