The interview process began with a phone call where I was asked a lot of situation handling questions, and then I got shortlisted. After that, the area manager contacted me with the next steps and required documents. I then presented a business plan that included a SWOT analysis, after visiting the location twice. Later, I had a face-to-face final interview. The BDM shared the company's vision and goals, and what they were looking for in a General Manager. This interview included personal and professional questions, with discussion from both sides. I was informed that I would hear back about the results the following week. I was thrilled to receive the offer, which I accepted.

I applied online and was then asked to submit a business plan and P&L. I put together a really detailed business plan, which the hiring manager was impressed with at first. But then they said it wasn't detailed enough and made some excuse about the site size. They ended up giving the job to someone they knew, even though that person is currently failing in their role. It feels like it's all about who you know, not what you know.

First, there was a phone interview to see if my experience and skills fit the job and the company. Then, I had a face-to-face interview where I presented my thoughts on the business and how I'd grow it. Before that, I visited the site a few times to check out its strengths and weaknesses.
