CHRO
Got contacted on LinkedIn for a role. Had a chat with a recruiter who asked for a lot of details. When I asked about the role, the answers were vague or I didn't get any answers at all. The recruiter seemed really excited though, and even reached out over a weekend for more info. They told me I was being submitted for the next steps. But then, when I followed up about the opportunity, I was totally ghosted. It's super unprofessional to not follow up and give a candidate an update.
- Could you ask some questions based on my resume?
Recruiter
I had an interview with a recruiting manager before. Then Lauren from NYC contacted me for another interview, an open house. It was a bit weird, but I went for it since I wanted the job. Three people interviewed me and liked me. Lauren emailed a few days later saying they want to hire me, but I needed to meet the CEO. She said she'd contact me in 2 weeks when she's back in the office. After 2 weeks, I emailed her about meeting the CEO, but no reply. I called a few days later, she said she'd call back, but never did. I emailed again and she said they decided to hire for sales instead of recruiting. I don't get the game playing or the sudden change of mind. I was about to quit my job, glad I didn't. I don't get how this company is rated so high. What they did wasn't right and I'm sure it'll happen again.
- Why are you interested in recruiting?
