First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mission Hospital.
Registered Nurse
I applied for a per diem RN position in the Hem/Onc clinic. The recruiter contacted me promptly and scheduled an interview. Unfortunately, during the first scheduled interview, I waited for 30 minutes without the hiring manager appearing. After contacting the recruiter, without any apology or explanation, I was sent a link to reschedule. At the second scheduled interview, I again waited for 30 minutes, and once more, no one showed up. It's baffling that they need nurses but don't seem to prioritize showing up for interviews. The recruiter offered no apology or reason for this complete waste of my time. It's highly unprofessional, especially for an organization that emphasizes its professionalism.
- The hiring manager at the Leonard Cancer Institute couldn't be bothered to show up for my scheduled interviews on two separate occasions.
Registered Nurse
The interview went well, it was a nice conversation and they answered all my questions. They started by asking me to tell them about myself and then moved on to ask more specific situation-based questions.
- Can you describe a time you received a complaint and explain how you handled it?
Registered Nurse
The interview process was straightforward and conducted online with a single interviewer and facilitator. It provided a good chance to ask about the hospital and its location, and I also inquired about the cost of living and crime rate in the vicinity.
- Could you please share some information about yourself and your background in nursing?
- Do you have any questions regarding the hospital or the surrounding area?
- What are your thoughts on the cost of living here?
