First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MISO.
Software Engineer
First, you talk to the recruiter. If they like you, you'll do an informational chat with the hiring manager. Then, there's the main interview, which is a STAR format with a panel of managers.
- What is the most important value to you?
Software Engineer
I first met the company at a career fair and then got an email for a phone interview. They mentioned a possible follow-up on-site interview. The person I spoke with on the phone wasn't very chatty. We reviewed my resume, and she asked about everything listed on it. There were also some behavioral questions, questions about my extracurriculars, and questions about what I knew about the company.
- How many other internship interviews do you have lined up for this summer?
Senior Software Engineer
I met with the hiring manager and some other folks in a conference room. After we all introduced ourselves, they asked some standard behavior questions. Then it was my turn to ask them questions. It all took about 90 minutes. There weren't any technical questions.
- How do you set priorities when you have a tight schedule?
