Group Presentation Behavioral

The interview was one of the best I've had, nothing to complain about. There was a group dynamic with 16 people. We each did a presentation of ourselves and then there was a separate activity in 4 groups. It was great, I learned things I didn't know from the other people. The only thing I have to complain about is the response time. They say they'll give a response by a certain day, and that day passes and they don't give a response, neither positive nor negative. This leaves the person hoping to get the job. Aside from that, it's a great company. They just need to pay more attention to the interviewees, even if they don't pass, they deserve a response.

I had an initial phone screen that went very well. The person I spoke with was pleasant, easy to talk to, and kept the conversation focused on relevant topics, even answering some tricky questions. The second interview was with the Director of Project Management. This person was quite boring and self-absorbed, spending over 20 minutes talking about themselves. They then seemed to read the job description aloud. When they finally asked me a question, it was just, "Tell me about yourself." Before I could even get going, they cut me off, saying they had another interview to get to (only 25 minutes into our 30-minute slot). They didn't ask any other questions and seemed uninterested and distracted. They did mention I would hear back regardless. A month later, after hearing nothing, I followed up. They apologized for the poor communication, calling it an oversight, and mentioned they had hired someone else. I definitely wouldn't want to work with that Director or at a company that doesn't prioritize communication.

I got referred to this role by a sister company. After a quick phone chat, I got an in-person interview the following week. It was a good meeting, I talked with four of their creative team members. They said they liked my answers to their questions and I left feeling good. They said they would get back to me on Monday after the interview. Three weeks later, I haven't heard anything back from their HR. Even though I liked the company, the team, and the interview itself, getting ghosted without any updates about my interview or the role has been a bad experience.
