Business Development Representative
You start by submitting your CV online or through a referral. The Talent Acquisition team will check if it matches the role. If it does, you'll get a phone screening or recruiter call to chat about your background, why you want the job, and if you're a good fit. They might ask some basic professional questions and maybe a few technical ones, depending on the role. After the recruiter call, you'll usually have more interviews with the hiring manager and/or team members. Each of these interviews lasts about 45–60 minutes. For many jobs, these will include technical interviews with tech questions, problem solving, and maybe live coding if it's a technical role. You'll also have behavioral and values interviews where you'll use the STAR method (Situation-Task-Action-Result) to talk about your past experiences and how they align with Mirakl’s values, like teamwork, problem solving, and client focus. Some roles might require an assessment or case work. If it's a technical or analytical role, you could get a take-home assignment or a case study to finish before discussing it later. For sales or business roles, you might have role plays or presentations. Some roles also have a loop of interviews with different team members to see how you fit with Mirakl’s core values and how you collaborate across teams. After all interviewers give their feedback, Mirakl usually lets you know their decision within about 2 weeks after your final interviews. Once you accept, Mirakl has a structured onboarding program and often assigns a “buddy” to help you get settled in.
- Can you share an instance where you encountered a challenging situation within a team and how you managed it?
- Could you tell me about a project that you consider a success, detailing your contributions and the outcome?

The interview process was efficient and pretty quick. I did three rounds total, two phone/zoom calls and then the last one was in person. I spoke with 3 different people from the team and I had to make a presentation to show my thought process. The recruiter did a good job of prepping me with questions and insights about the company and team.
- Tell me about a situation where you successfully persuaded someone who initially said no.
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years, and how do you believe Mirakl can support your professional development?

I was contacted by a lady from HR (HQ Paris) via LinkedIn. After a really nice first chat (60 mins) with her, I was invited for another interview (60 mins) with the Hiring Manager (HQ Paris). We talked about my past experiences, my ideas for the role, and some technical stuff related to it. Normally, the next step is a final round with 5 interviewers for over 3 hours. But because my application came at an unusual time, I was invited for a qualification interview that involved a role-play (60 mins). In this, you pretend to be the person for the job and call a lead to try and qualify them. Just a few days later, I got invited to the last interview round. Here, the goal is to convince different interviewers that your work style, attitude, and ideas align with the company values. After that, you get quick feedback and a yes/no.
- Tell me about a time when timing was important for a project.
- Can you share an instance where you had to manage a challenging client?
- Recount a situation where your innovative approach made a difference for your company.
