Technical Presentation

There was a communication breakdown between HR and the hiring team. I received conflicting information about the number of interview steps and one of my questions remained unanswered even after asking it twice. While the employees seemed intelligent and pleasant, there appeared to be a communication issue, and I didn't feel like a priority. This was further emphasized by receiving a non-reply rejection email from the hiring team, rather than an email that would have allowed me to acknowledge their decision. No hard feelings, but there's room for improvement.

  • Two phone screens were conducted.
  • An Excel assessment was administered as a take-home task.
  • The assessment and presentation were reviewed with the team.

Technical Case

The communication was really unprofessional and rude. I had to complete a task analyzing data to figure out the best strategies and sellers, and also make new budget allocation plans. There were also many other questions and a lot of work involved. It's supposed to be an entry-level position, but the task felt more like something a manager would do, similar to what my current manager handles. It really required a lot of knowledge and practical experience, even though I've only been trained in similar areas for less than a year and still found it difficult. It's funny because I read interview tips here before and they were so accurate. The salary offered is also 5k less than other entry-level roles. It makes you wonder why you'd take on a manager's job for much less pay.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Analyze data to find the best performing strategies, sellers, etc., and create new budget allocation plans.
  • Answer numerous other questions and complete a significant amount of work.
