I was scouted by a recruiter on LinkedIn, then had a second round with a hiring manager. The third round was a case study where I had to develop a product plan. Honestly, I used ChatGPT for it, and throughout the process, they kept complimenting me in a strange way. The final call was with a VP who clearly didn't know how to interview and hadn't even looked at my background. He started grilling me on the presentation I gave, which was weird since they asked me to build a whole hour-long presentation. It felt pretty disrespectful. He admitted he was reading my LinkedIn for the first time during the interview. I didn't follow up, and they never got back to me.

Technical

So, I had a really unprofessional experience with MiQ. After finishing a technical task that took a lot of time and going through a few interview rounds, they told me they wanted to offer me the job. We talked about the salary, benefits, and bonuses, but it was pending approval from their finance people. I waited for like four weeks, and they barely communicated with me, even though I followed up a lot with the recruiter and the hiring manager on LinkedIn. Because they were so unclear, I stopped looking for other jobs. Then, after four weeks, they let me know they had already offered the job to someone else. This place doesn't seem to care about how much time candidates spend or how they handle interviews. Not even basic politeness, like a simple reply to close things out, shows how unprofessional they are. I really think people should avoid MiQ if they're thinking about working there.

The people team is great and they invest in a long term candidate pool. I was very impressed with the recruiter's investment in me as a candidate, even though I ended up not being a fit for the role. I will keep considering MiQ and other similar companies that invest in good candidates and maintain long connections with potential future employees.
