Legal Assistant/Paralegal
I interviewed for a paralegal job at Mintz and it was a bad experience. In the second round, the manager was not prepared and didn't know about the team's work. She gave vague answers to my questions, even saying she 'doesn't pay attention in meetings.' This was weird because I'm interested in the firm. She didn't ask about my qualifications or follow up on my answers. She was vague and dismissive. What was most concerning was the bias in how she talked about my experience and career. She seemed to assume my background and interest in DEI were less important or sophisticated, even though it matched the job description. These subtle microaggressions made me question if the interview process was inclusive and fair. I'm disappointed because I expected a professional, respectful, and rigorous process from a firm like Mintz. It makes me wonder if they are really a good firm. The interview felt superficial and showed how unprofessional the admin support team is and how unqualified they are. Minority applicants, be careful if you're interested in this firm.

Paralegal
It's pretty standard for a big law firm. You'll go through a few rounds: first the recruiter, then the hiring manager, then office managers, department managers, and definitely the attorneys and partners. Things can get pretty intense with the attorneys.
- Describe your experience.
- In what ways does your background align with the requirements of this role?
- Could you share some examples from your previous work experiences?
Legal Specialist
We had a web interview with about 7 or 8 people. It started with recruiting personnel, then managers, the office manager, and finally attorneys. Each interview was about 30 minutes. The atmosphere was friendly, and they asked general questions about my past experience and skills.
- Do you have knowledge of XXX software?
- Are you familiar with PCT filing procedures?
- Can you describe your experience with National Phase filings?
