I had an initial phone screener with an internal recruiter, and then a phone interview with my manager-to-be. Then, I had to write a report based on 20+ pages of data from Mintel, I also included data and insights from other sources. I received good feedback and was invited to an in-person interview with a Research Manager and a fellow (Senior) Research Analyst. I felt I did very well, and was communicated that the final step was to make a presentation. After a few days I haven't received the data for the presentation, so I reached out to the HR contact asking for a follow-up on my interview, and she NEVER replied.

I had a phone interview with HR. Then I was sent a numerical test, which involved calculating percentages, market share changes, and growth rates. On the same day as the test, I had a face-to-face with HR where they asked about my motivation for Mintel, my past experience, why I'm a good fit, and my understanding of the role. Afterwards, I met the team leader and completed an analytical test. This test required calculating market value and share using three provided sources, and I had to choose one source, justify my choice, and write a short paragraph. This was followed by a role-play scenario where I had to call a company to obtain information for a report. Finally, I had an interview with the team leader, repeating the same questions as HR: Why Mintel, previous experience, why me, and understanding of the role. The team was friendly and the numerical test wasn't too hard.

I applied online and then got an invite for a phone screen pretty fast. The recruiter was super helpful, giving me a lot of good info about the company and the role. She asked me a bunch of questions about my background and experience, and said they seemed to fit the job. About a week later, I heard back that the Hiring Manager wasn't going to move me forward, which was a bit of a surprise considering how the first chat went.
