Mindfire Solutions came to our college for an oncampus internship. The OA was done in college and the interview rounds were conducted in their office. In total, there were three rounds. The first two were technical rounds and the third was an HR round. Students who cleared the first round were allowed to proceed to the 2nd technical round and the HR round. There wasn't any elimination in the 2nd round.

Applied via their career portal, and the whole process took a little over 2 weeks. The first part was a technical coding test where I had to solve 5 questions, ranging from easy to medium difficulty, within 2 hours. After passing that, I had a technical interview with the team lead. They asked me about my projects, the technologies I'm comfortable with, SQL, and normalization. They really stressed preparing SQL. The last round was with HR, and it was pretty standard with questions like why I want to join Mindfire and if I have other offers.

Confirmed questions8 questions
  • Could you design ER models for an airplane ticket booking system?
  • After creating the tables, can you write a complex join query to fetch specific data?
  • Can you tell me about your projects?

I was contacted via Naukri.com by HR. The first call was very short (3-5 mins) where they asked about my education, experience, and current technologies. Then came the 1st Round, a coding exam with 5 questions. The first 3 were easy, the 4th was a bit tricky, and the 5th was tough. I managed to solve all five questions using Java, as it was required for this Java Developer role. The interviewer was friendly. After clearing the 1st round, they scheduled the 2nd round for a week later. The 2nd round was a one-to-one interview with a Senior Developer from their team, lasting about 40 minutes. They asked questions on Java, Spring, Javascript, and Angular. The questions were good. I got an email rejection the same day. Overall, the interview experience was good.

Confirmed questions7 questions
  • Questions from Java covering OOP concepts, Final Keyword, Static Keyword.
  • Questions from Multithreading.
  • Difference between ArrayList and Linkedlist?
