My interview at Mindera was really great. The team was professional and friendly from the start, making me feel welcome. The interview was structured with conversations instead of just questions and answers. The interviewers were interested in me as a person, not just my resume, and asked good questions that let me show my skills and personality. They were open about the company's problems and future plans, which made me trust their leadership. I felt informed and excited about potentially joining Mindera. I definitely suggest it if you're looking for a good career opportunity with a company that's thinking ahead.

The interview process was pretty standard for the industry. It started with a general chat with the internal recruiter about expectations and experience. Then there was an online homework assignment done synchronously on an external platform. This was followed by a technical interview with two QA engineers and finally a cultural fit interview with an HR representative.

Technical Coding

The interview for the Senior QA Engineer role was quite lengthy. It involved many questions related to testing and test automation. Some of the questions felt a bit off, as they were about tools and frameworks that aren't even used in our project. The engineers interviewing me also seemed not to know the project well. After about an hour of questions, I was given two coding tasks. The first one was to count repeating letters in a word and remove them, returning only the unique letters.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • As a senior QA engineer, I was asked to manually test websites and add test cases to a sheet, including determining severity and priority.
