So for this job, there were two interviews. The first one had a typing test, a listening test, and then a one-on-one chat. In that one-on-one, they mostly asked about my past jobs and then gave me a fake customer service situation to see how I'd handle it. It felt a bit scary, and I was super nervous lol. The second interview was more of an interactive session with about 8 other candidates and the operations manager. The main goal of this second interview is to see if you're a good fit for the company culture, so they want you to be friendly, confident, and just be yourself.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Do research on the company and think about what qualities you'd look for in a customer service representative, then use that for the scenario.
  • Just be yourself and try not to be too nervous, unlike me lol.

The initial phone interview was thorough and comprehensive. However, the face-to-face interview was quite disappointing. I arrived 15 minutes early as requested, only to be told my name wasn't on the short list and I'd have to wait for them to find someone to interview me. I had to show my email confirmation before any action was taken. The company's overall dress code seemed unprofessional, with males, including supervisors, wearing hoodies and worn-out jeans, some even in plain t-shirts. Female staff were seen in basic jumpers, cargo pants, and slippers. The interview process itself was standard, but the recruiter repeatedly left to handle other matters, leaving me waiting in the lobby.

So there were 3 rounds to get through. First was the HR round where I just had to introduce myself and talk about my past jobs. Then I had an aptitude test which had grammar and some math problems. Lastly, I had the Ops round with the Process Manager. In that round, I introduced myself again and the manager asked me personal questions like what I do, how I found out about the job opening, and to 'sell me a pen.' They also asked me to read a paragraph from the TIMES OF INDIA newspaper.
