I applied online and the recruiter reached out quickly with info on the role and a first interview. The job description they sent was very different from the one online. The interviewers changed last minute without telling me, which was odd because Mimecast recommends researching them. My first interview was 2.5 hours over lunch, which was difficult with my diabetes. It felt like they hadn't prepared, and one interviewer seemed uninterested. They didn't ask many questions related to the job specs or my CV. One interviewer kept checking my LinkedIn profile many times after the interview, which I found strange as my CV has more info. I asked for feedback but never got it. I then declined to continue after the recruiter called and changed the role offered again.

It was remote, and it felt more like a meet and greet than a formal interview. The manager was really friendly and gave a great explanation of the role.

The interview was pretty chill overall, the interviewers were nice and let me talk. But I felt they were a bit narrow-minded and biased. One interviewer had 5 years at the company but didn't know much about businesses outside of Mimecast. The other didn't talk much but seemed judgmental. All the questions were about my resume and what I've done before. They didn't seem to agree with scenarios that might happen if they are only thinking about Mimecast and not other areas. Maybe the interview panel should be more open to hearing about QA processes and challenges in other domains and not just stick to the Mimecast environment.
