I had an interview with the QC Department in San Jose. The vibe was really off-putting and the director seemed completely uninterested and unemotional about what I could offer. It felt very impersonal, like I was just another task they had to get through. Purely business-focused, no regard for the individual. Definitely some red flags there.

The interview had three people from Miltenyi Biotec (one from HR, my potential direct manager, and the group leader of the team I'd be joining). The group leader did most of the talking. Everyone was really nice and seemed genuinely interested. It lasted about 1.5 hours. They were curious about my past experiences and what I know. To check how I handle pressure and think clearly, I had to outline solutions to some technical problems and answer questions about physical and biological principles.
