Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Millward Brown.
Client Executive
The interview was pretty laid-back and casual, it seemed like they were mainly trying to figure out if you'd be a good fit for their team and if you had the skills they needed. For example, they asked about experiences where you had to collaborate with others, handle working under pressure, and juggle multiple tasks. They also inquired about your personal interests to see if any overlapped with their department's focus, like film, entertainment, or lifestyle.
- Can you share an example of a recent advertisement or marketing campaign that caught your eye and explain your reasons for being impressed?
- Tell me about an advert/piece of marketing you've seen recently that impressed you and why?
Account Executive
I first heard from HR after applying online. After an initial chat, I was sent an online personality test which I thought was weird before another interview. I took it and passed, then I interviewed with two VPs of sales. Those went really well, so the final interview was with the head of sales for North America. He said it was just a casual chat for him to give feedback to the team. It started okay but then he totally lost interest and the vibe died. As expected, the next day HR emailed saying they weren't moving forward. The whole process was fast, maybe a week or so.
- The personality test was strange; it often gave two bad choices and you had to pick one, and sometimes a choice you already rejected would come up again, forcing you to pick it eventually.
Client Executive
I sent in my application online and then HR reached out to me for an initial chat. After that, I had an interview with two of the hiring managers and then I had a more casual talk with the person who will be my direct manager. They have a set list of questions they need to ask.
- Could you share an instance of managing multiple tasks simultaneously?
- Can you give an example of working effectively while under pressure?
- Tell me about a time you worked effectively as part of a team.
