First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MilliporeSigma.
Intern
First I had a phone call where they told me about the job and the company, and we checked if it was a good fit. Then there was an official interview, with behavioral questions. It could be your manager or HR, I heard different things but my supervisor interviewed me. It took a month to hear back.
- Can you describe a situation where you had difficulty working with a team and what you did to resolve it?
Intern
The interview process was quite simple. There were two rounds, and the questions felt reasonable. They mostly asked about my experiences, including my lab experience, and also about my involvement in clubs and extracurriculars. Nothing seemed particularly challenging or unanswerable.
- Can you tell me about your role as Vice President at your club at UMD and what your responsibilities entail?
Intern
The interview process was pretty standard, nothing too unusual. There were two interviews total, and I felt like they both went alright. Both were conducted over Zoom. They got back to me via email pretty quickly after. This would probably be a bit tougher if it was for a full-time job, but since it was an internship, it felt a bit easier to navigate.
- Can you tell me why you're interested in this position?
- Describe how you handle challenging situations.
