First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Miller Cooper & Co..
Audit Intern
It was a chill and thorough process. Talking about the general job duties was easy, and the recruiter was super friendly. Also had a chat with a manager, who was really helpful. I'd suggest applying here.
- Why did you decide to apply to Miller Cooper?
Auditor
I had my first interview on campus and then was invited back to the office for final rounds. The final round had two parts: a pre-night social event and then office interviews. The pre-night event really showed the firm's family-like culture. I met a group of people who turned out to be 3 partners, including the head of the audit department. I was surprised by how friendly and down-to-earth the partners were, which really appealed to me. The group joked around in a friendly way, showing support and encouragement, making it feel like a real family! The next day was the final round office visit. I interviewed with 3 people (partners and senior managers), attended a panel discussion with senior/supervisors, had lunch with staff, and toured the office, where people greeted me warmly. The interviews felt more like casual chats than strict behavioral questions, which made me feel more comfortable. Overall, it was a great experience that helped me assess if I could fit in, just as much as if they thought I was a good fit. I got an offer less than a week later and accepted it right away!
- Do you have plans for the CPA exam?
- What are your future career aspirations?
Audit Intern
The interview lasted 30 minutes and wasn't too challenging. The interviewer focused heavily on my resume, asking questions directly related to my past experience and my academic majors. I was also asked to introduce myself.
- What led you to pursue accounting?
