It was a pretty standard interview, just one round. The manager interviewed me for about 20 minutes. The vibe was good, and everyone seemed really happy and energetic.

This place is not worth interviewing with unless you are "qualified" for the job, which they don't even specify the requirements for. They'll call you for an interview knowing you're not qualified. It starts with a phone call, then they have you come in for an in-person interview. I live super far away and had to deal with traffic just to get there on time. I wasted two hours talking to people, touring the place, and hearing about the company. They even make you shadow someone and fold laundry for free. They act like you're getting the job, asking about time off, pay, and availability. I thought I did well until they sent me an email saying they're moving forward with someone more qualified. Such a waste of my time, energy, gas, and effort.

It was a four step interview process: phone call, in person meeting, a hands on practical interview, and then a final round. There were some scheduling issues. The practical interview felt like a big disadvantage for the applicant because you don't know the products (you have to pick from about 30 bottles quickly), you don't know the building layout, you don't know where clean things are, and you've never worked there before, so you don't know expectations. They give you constructive criticism on the practical, which is good, but a lot of it comes down to personal choice or things out of your control, like searching for your model or reading product labels during the service. There's high turnover. They had a hiring fair in July, I went through all the steps, but they had another hiring fair a month later for the same jobs. I really wanted to work there, but hearing from past employees and seeing craigslist posts makes me think twice.

The interview process started with a phone interview that lasted almost an hour. The recruiter, Dawn, was very informative and answered all my questions. She asked about my salary expectations and I told her I wouldn't accept less than $15.00/hr, which she indicated was doable. Then, I had an in-person interview at a location I had mentioned was furthest from me. This interview also lasted over an hour, and I was told the starting pay would be much lower than discussed over the phone. I was still willing to continue because I was interested in the field. The third interview was at the downtown Austin location. I was given poor directions to the parking garage, making me 30 minutes late. This whole process was unpleasant. I eventually received a rejection email for a job title I didn't even apply for. My advice is to shorten the interview process to save everyone time. You can likely determine if someone is a good fit within the first two interviews for a spa front desk role.
