First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Milestone Technologies.
Support Technician
The interview process was good. I had an initial phone call interview, followed by a second and a final interview. All interviews included situational questions that were relevant to the job description. I got an offer after the final interview, but I didn't accept it because I had another opportunity. The questions were pretty easy, especially if you've dealt with situational questions before.
- Can you explain what RAM, ROM, and VPN are?
- What would you do in a situation involving Outlook?
- How would you address a device that is running slow?
Support Technician
The first interviews with the Supervisors went really well and they asked relevant questions. The company culture seemed good. After waiting a week for the second round, I interviewed with someone who had no connection to the role. They seemed really uninterested the whole time. I wish I'd left earlier since I got an email about not being selected less than five minutes after finishing. It left a bad impression, and they haven't responded to my email about the quick decision.
- Could you share what drew you to this particular role?
- Can you explain DNS and DHCP?
- Are you acquainted with Slack?
Data Center Technician
I got a call from Milestone about my application, and it seemed like I matched the job description well. Three days later, I received an interview request. The onsite interview went really well, and they mentioned a decision would be communicated the next day or the day after. However, I never heard back. The interview itself wasn't perfect, but better than most I've had. My main concern was cultural fit, as I've been rejected for that reason before and probably should have discussed it more. I was honest about my lack of data center experience and my shortcomings. I'm giving a negative review mainly because they stressed the urgency of hiring technicians and made it seem like I had the job, but then there was silence for nearly a week. I still have some hope for a response, but I doubt it. I'm moving on to avoid staying unproductive. The onsite request was actually a day late, and I understand the pressure recruiters face. Hopefully, they can implement an automated system for rejections to avoid leading candidates on. I'll update if I get a response. Edit: Emailed the recruiter and they responded; they're still interviewing, so I might still be in the running. My guess was right, the team hiring was paused. Hope they resolve it. Edit 2: I was misled. The recruiter claimed I was the second choice for two open positions, which is quite frustrating. Clearly, I didn't get the job.
- Regarding your availability, what can you tell me?
- Do you have any experience with BASH?
