The interview itself was fine — I answered every single question the interviewer asked. Then, in the last 10 minutes of a full hour, he apparently ran out of questions and decided I wasn’t good enough for the next round. The recruiter’s “feedback”? A one-line you’re not selected email. No explanation, no guidance, and absolutely no professionalism — don’t even try calling her for clarity, she won’t pick up.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process was good. I had an initial phone call interview, followed by a second and a final interview. All interviews included situational questions that were relevant to the job description. I got an offer after the final interview, but I didn't accept it because I had another opportunity. The questions were pretty easy, especially if you've dealt with situational questions before.

Behavioral Presentation

Got a ping from a recruiter on LinkedIn about the job. After saying I was keen, I chatted with two managers on Teams. They mostly talked about the role itself and the client. It was more of a get-to-know-you chat than a technical interview. Then I had a final interview with the supervisor, also on Teams. That also went well, again not super technical, just to see if I'd fit with the team. They mentioned maybe another interview with another manager? I followed up with the recruiter a week later, and they said they'd let me know about updates. Another follow-up, still no reply. It's been two weeks, and I'm pretty sure I've been ghosted. The interview part was fast and easy, so I'm not sure what happened after that last chat. They might have done a background check.

Technical Coding System Design

The whole process took 2 weeks. HR told me that they are going to take 2 rounds of interview. First round was technical they asked normal core java questions for 1 hour. Second round was coding round. Interviewer asked only one coding question(anagram). He asked me to solve that question in multiple ways. I executed that solution in 3 different ways. He did not have any other question so he was just passing time asking me silly questions around that same problem. HR called me to tell me that they want to conduct another round as they have not tested me in data engineering skills. In third round of Interview, Interviewer asked me designing questions on distributed systems and 2 sql questions. He wanted to listen the answer that he knows. After all the rounds HR called me that you are fit for the role of Data Engineer but not Senior Data Engineer(not in their budget). Such a waste of time.
