First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Miles IT.
Software Developer
The interview process had 3-4 rounds. The first round was a pre-recorded video interview. The second was a technical coding interview, and the third was a technical interview with a Software Manager. I only made it to the third round and was rejected because I was missing some basic concepts. It's important to brush up on OOPs concepts to improve your chances.
- Tell me about yourself.
- Can you explain in detail how a web application functions?
- Are you content?
Software Engineer
They begin with video interviews, which include 10 questions and last about 40 minutes. This seems longer than usual; other companies typically have only 3 questions. Initially, I wasn't keen on proceeding, but I decided to give it a shot. Considering the amount of work requested, the pay for this role is also below average.
- How happy are you?
- Can you describe how you would build a software, step by step?
Software Developer
So, I interviewed for a .NET Software Developer position in Mumbai. It started with a recorded video interview. If that went well, the next step was an online coding test on CodePen where I had to build a list of items with add functionality using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AngularJS. After that, I had a technical interview with the Director of Software Development covering SQL, OOPS, C#, MVC, and similar topics. The final interview was with the Director of Project Management, focusing on why I wanted to switch jobs, my current salary, and my expected salary. I really think upgrading technology is key to better solutions, but maybe I didn't explain myself well in the last round, or my salary expectations were too high. Hope this helps someone else get the offer!
- What is the difference between a function and a procedure?
