Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Miles IT.
IT Consultant
I got a 98 on my first interview and according to HR I did really good with the second interview. I failed the third interview according to HR. I was hoping for a second chance but I never got one. I hope in the future they will accept my resume again. I want to work for a great company such as Miles Technologies
- What was the third part of the interview?
IT Consultant
I applied for a remote IT Consultant position, so all communication was via email, phone, and Skype with team members in New Jersey. The process started with two timed online tests: one math and one with basic IT troubleshooting questions. Passing those led to a 15-minute recruiter phone interview. Next, there was a 3-hour exam featuring two separate written technical tests, a simulated IT support call, and an interview with a team leader. Following that, I had to submit a one-page written exercise before a one-hour phone interview with the department head. Finally, I might have answered more technical questions with another department head before they decided. They really screen their candidates thoroughly. The whole thing, including prep and online forms, took about 10 hours over 6 weeks.
- What are your expected contributions in the first 6 months at Miles Technologies?
IT Consultant
The interview process was pretty standard for the most part. The video part of the interview was just as silly as the questions the CEO asked in person. There were red flags throughout the interview from how the CEO presented himself to what the person I shadowed with said to me. The biggest red flag was the hiring contract! Wow! Just Wow! People read before you sign! I've never seen such an aggressive hiring contract. Pretty sure this would be illegal in some other states. If this company is expecting you to sign this what do they really think of their employees? Signing this agreement is nothing but bad for your employees. Shameful
