First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Milbank LLP.
Summer Associate
I had one quick screening call, and if I passed that, I was invited to an in-person interview at their office, and they even covered my travel costs. The office environment and my overall experience were excellent. Everyone I met was welcoming and supportive, particularly the recruiting team.
- Could you tell me why you are interested in Milbank?
- What are your reasons for pursuing a career in Big Law?
Summer Associate
I had a 30-minute screener through my school's pre-OCI program (T14). I got invited to a callback interview 3-4 days later. The in-person callback was in NY with 2 associates and 2 partners. It included a small number of behavioral questions. Make sure to prepare thoughtful questions to ask at the end. The people were very friendly. They have particularly strong finance practices.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in Milbank?
- Do you have any practice areas you're particularly interested in?
Summer Associate
After applying, I immediately got a callback. I ended up speaking with four different people, and they all had very different ways of interviewing. The associates seemed swamped and stressed, while the partners seemed to really like their jobs and the types of cases they worked on. Each person I talked to was unique in how they approached the interview and the questions they asked. I really suggest coming up with specific questions about the firm because I had plenty of time to ask my interviewers about things.
- What draws you to Milbank?
- Can you sum yourself up in three words?
