Business Analyst
So the interview process started with a quick hr phone call to go over my background. after that, I had a short case study related to a coffee shop. the final round involved a more in-depth case study, this time about a bookstore, and also included some behavioral questions.
- Can you tell me about your resume?
Business Analyst
First, an HR screener call where they laid out the whole process. Then, Round 1 involved a basic business case about a coffee shop with simple questions to check logic and quant skills. Round 2 was split into two parts: first, a logic puzzle about which customers to send marketing letters to, plus a few basic quant questions. Second, a more involved business case on a marketing letters strategy, with different choices and aiming to maximize profit at each stage. Round 3 had two parts: a 1-hour business case, followed by a 30-minute behavioral interview. Each round wrapped up with Q&A. Not all interviewers were great communicators, so I had to ask follow-up questions for clarity on the business cases.

The interview process with Midland Credit Management was pretty structured and had several rounds with different people. Most of the interactions were professional and gave good information. But, in one of the last interviews, I noticed some behavior that really affected the interview experience. The interviewer was doing other things during the whole session—checking emails, talking to coworkers, and using their phone. You could even hear videos or apps playing at times. Because of this, it was hard to stay focused, and I had to repeat myself or ask again for clarification a few times because they weren't paying attention.
- Tell me about a coffee shop case study.
- How would you handle mail selection?
- Let's discuss some behavioral questions.
