Data Scientist
So I went through 3 interviews with them and then they just ghosted me. I sent follow up emails but got no response. About 6 weeks later, I got an automated rejection email late at night. Honestly, this lack of communication was really unprofessional and inconsiderate. I'd tell others to steer clear of this company.

Analyst
I applied 2 months ago, then the recruiter reached out to me. First, there was a 10-minute phone call where he just asked about my background. Next, I had a Zoom interview with the manager, which went well. He said the recruiter would contact me about the next steps, which would be an onsite interview. After that, I never heard from the company again, they ghosted me. I reached out to the recruiter for an update, but he never responded. It was very unprofessional to ghost a candidate so late in the process.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What specifically about MCM interests you?
- Which skills do you believe require the most development?
Business Analyst
The interview process with Midland Credit Management was pretty structured and had several rounds with different people. Most of the interactions were professional and gave good information. But, in one of the last interviews, I noticed some behavior that really affected the interview experience. The interviewer was doing other things during the whole session—checking emails, talking to coworkers, and using their phone. You could even hear videos or apps playing at times. Because of this, it was hard to stay focused, and I had to repeat myself or ask again for clarification a few times because they weren't paying attention.
- Tell me about a coffee shop case study.
- How would you handle mail selection?
- Let's discuss some behavioral questions.
Recruiter
After applying, I heard back pretty quickly. Since the recruiter wasn't located in my city, we scheduled a Zoom call to chat about the basics and see if I was a good match. Soon after, they told me I'd be interviewing with the management team. I had 30-minute meetings with my manager, the senior manager, and the director to learn more about them and ensure I was comfortable with my future leaders.
- Tell me about your experience as a recruiter.
- Describe your experience with recruiting other recruiters.
- What makes you a suitable candidate for this position?
