Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Midea Group.
Intern
The interviewer started by introducing himself. After that, I gave an introduction about myself. Then I was asked questions regarding the projects on my resume, and it was a really relaxed vibe! They also talked about the job's location and what it entails.
- Do you prefer working in a lab or an office setting?
Intern
The interview was conducted online via Microsoft Teams. I spoke with a director from the HVAC department. He was friendly and asked me about myself and what I was interested in. It was a pretty typical interview. The interviewer's English was a bit difficult to understand at times, so I had to ask him to repeat some questions.
- Could you share a challenge you faced during a prior internship and explain how you overcame it?
Co-Op Student
met with recruiter at university career fair, they said they would contact me, and I got scheduled for a Zoom meeting a week later. The Zoom was super chill, with two interviewers, and they asked about research software I was familiar with.
- What software do you use for organizing qualitative data?
- Can you name some qualitative software you've used for data organization?
