First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Midas.
Business Development Manager
It was a pretty standard interview process. They asked some basic questions about business development and sales. It's helpful if you have a good understanding of and connections within the sector. Knowing the local ecosystem is also beneficial, like universities, investors, policymakers, and key clients.
- What would be your strategy for market expansion?
Software Engineer
The interview process had several parts. There was a redundant task with a vague description. The technical interview was good and they seemed to know what they were looking for. They asked algorithm problems without providing the problem text, which was a bit long. The engineer explaining the problem didn't speak Turkish. Just send a chat message, why are you wasting our times.
- What would you do if you encountered a problem for which you didn't have a solution?
Sales
The interview process was straightforward. It started with a phone screen, then an appointment to meet with the Manager. The interview with the manager lasted half a day and they made the hiring decision then. The interviewer was easy, likely assessing for relevant experience and ensuring a good fit with the company culture and team dynamics. It's recommended to research the company beforehand, understanding how the various companies within the umbrella organization connect. Knowing how purchasing, inventory, and sales interact across these companies would be beneficial during the interview.
- Can you describe your strengths?
- What do you consider your weaknesses?
- Can you discuss your relevant experience?
Android Developer
They started with a "Walk me through your resume" type question, essentially a "Tell me about yourself," but focused on telling your career story through your past jobs. You can do it chronologically, or start with your current role and work backward, highlighting relevant experiences and accomplishments for this specific job. Make sure to connect your past and present to show why this role is the next logical step for you.
- Can you tell me about the Android ecosystem and your prior experience?
- Could you discuss your previous role and insights into the Android ecosystem?
