Behavioral Technical

The interview process involved discussing previous experiences, technical skills, and behavioral questions. It was pretty straightforward and easy to chat with the interviewers. Mostly, they talked about expectations and what the team is like. Typically, there were 2 interviews, one with the manager and another with HR or a supervisor.

Behavioral Technical

An agency recruiter reached out to me after I applied on LinkedIn. I first had a phone interview with them, then another phone interview with the onsite recruiter, followed by a zoom interview with the hiring manager. After that, I went onsite twice, for a total of about 8 hours. The recruiters gave me positive feedback, and I thought it was a good match since I have experience in a similar role at a competitor and had been promoted for it. Surprisingly, the hiring manager decided not to move forward. While I accept this outcome, it was disappointing that after investing 8 hours and having many conversations, no one from Microvention called me to provide clear feedback. Given we are in the same industry, this lack of professional courtesy left a terrible impression.

It began with a phone screen, and then three days later, I received an email inviting me for an onsite interview. They set it for 11 AM, which was a bit inconvenient considering Tustin is a 5-6 hour drive from my home. They didn't offer any hotel or gas compensation. The interview itself lasted about 3 hours and involved meeting with six different engineers. Around the halfway mark, one of them kindly offered me some water. After that, I had to make the long 5-6 hour drive back. I never heard back from them.

Behavioral Presentation

The whole interview process was great from start to finish. I applied online and the Sr. Recruiting Manager contacted me quickly to set up an interview. We easily scheduled a time and I met with everyone on the team I'd be working with. This helped me understand the company culture from each person. The next week, the Sr. Recruiting Manager let me know they were starting my background and reference checks. After everything checked out, I got an offer!
