Behavioral Technical Presentation

This company has a really solid interview process, designed to find folks who align technically and socially with their long-term goals. A bit of a downside was the ambiguity around the exact position I was interviewing for, even after asking multiple times. The initial interview was a 30-minute phone call with a senior HR manager and a technical manager, where there was plenty of time for questions. They also asked about my previous salary at the end. The next phase involved five separate one-on-one interviews and a technical presentation at their US research center. The interviewers included HR, technical managers, and researchers. They also provided a good tour of the facility.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Regarding your career path, do you see yourself primarily as a technical specialist or as a team leader?
  • There was a technical test on tire compounding and properties that assessed fundamental rubber concepts.

It was only a phone interview until the very day I joined the company. There were a total of 3 calls, the first to tell me a bit about the vacancy or position, the second to see if I was interested, and the third to set the arrival date and confirm my interest.
