Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Michelin North America.
Product Development Engineer
They flew me out to Greenville for a full day of interviews. It was a 4-hour-long interview session, and then I had a casual lunch with someone who already has the job I was going for. Everyone I talked to had their own set of questions to see what my personality was like. It felt pretty relaxed. They covered all my travel costs for the visit.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in Michelin?
- What motivates you to want to work for us?
Software Engineer
Applied 4 months ago and got a call for an interview. First, there was an HR call to get to know me better. Then, I had a technical interview. The interviewer asked about my Java experience. I tried to ask for specifics like project experience or polymorphism, but the answer was vague, and the question was repeated. That was the only technical question. After that, I spoke with HR again, and they said I'd hear back in a couple of weeks.
- Can you tell me about your experience with Java?
Software Engineer Intern
There was a group interview with about 5 candidates. We were given a prompt and had to create a business plan. After that, we presented our plan to the team and answered questions about it for 5 minutes.
- Regarding the technology choices in your proposal, could you explain the reasoning behind them?
