Sales Manager
First, a recruiter calls you. Then, you fly out for an in-person interview which includes lunch with other candidates. After lunch, you interview one-on-one with three different people for an hour each: the career manager, personnel, and the sales manager. Finally, the recruiter will call to let you know if you got the job or not.
- What makes you want to join Michelin?
Territory Sales Manager
It was a pretty simple process. Started with a phone interview, and if that went well, they invited me to their HQ in Greenville. At the HQ, I met some other folks interviewing for the same role that day. We had three interviews back-to-back, followed by lunch with the interviewers and HR. Pretty straightforward, no tricky questions. Just make sure you've done your homework on the company and feel confident in your abilities, since it's a sales job. They also do background checks and hair drug tests.
- Can you tell me about what you'd expect in an interview?
- What kind of background checks are conducted?
- Are there any specific drug tests performed?
Sales Manager
I applied online and after about three weeks, I got a call for a phone interview. The next day after that initial call, we had the phone interview. The day after that, they called me with an invitation. The phone interview was pretty standard, just typical screening questions. I was flown to Greenville and they covered my hotel and rental car. I had three interviews there, which were super informative, and everyone was really nice. I didn't really need to prepare by studying the company's history or goals like I did. All the questions were about my past experiences and sales background. You definitely need an outgoing personality for this role and company. The interviews felt a bit intimidating at first, but they ended up going smoothly. They offer great benefits, but the job does come with a lot of responsibility and autonomy. Honestly, the interview process was one of the best I've been through and totally worth it. HR is really good. They also provided lunch with the other candidates and the people who interviewed us.
- Can you share an instance where you had to approach a problem in an unconventional way?
