Support Specialist
I applied online for a Support Specialist role (like a team member/cashier). Got a call back the next Tuesday to set up an interview for that Thursday. I missed the first call, but the manager was easy to reach when I called back. I got there early, and the interview was pretty straightforward. We mostly confirmed my availability, discussed which position I preferred (cashier, floor, or unloading), and she went over the job duties, dress code, and work area. She also asked about my preferred starting wage and was flexible. I'd applied for fulltime, but she said only part-time was available, though she outlined expected hours and offered ways to get more if needed. She seemed really excited to have me, mentioning they were short-staffed and interviewing many people that week, which explained the quick offer. She sent a link that night to start paperwork. It's Saturday now, and I haven't heard back, but she did say she might be busy, so I'll follow up in a few days if nothing's heard. My background includes a BFA and some office experience.
- What's your availability?
- Do you want to work on the floor, as a cashier, as a framer, or as an unloader?
Support Specialist
After submitting my application and completing an online assessment, the store manager reached out quickly to schedule my formal interview. This interview took place in a classroom setting and was led by the Assistant Store Manager, who maintained a professional yet relaxed atmosphere. The interview included a standard question and answer segment, followed by a timed test. The Store Manager then briefly joined to ask a few additional questions.
- The questions asked were all standard and pre-written on a form, so no difficult or unexpected questions came up.
Support Specialist
I was called to set up an in-person interview. The assistant store manager then took me to the "classroom" and asked some general questions. The whole interview took about 15 minutes. It was pretty quick and I got a call the next day offering me a position.
- What is your customer-facing experience?
