Due to a store structure change, everyone had to reapply for their jobs. Instead of placing me in the new management role I was seeking, they hired someone who had previously quit the company to fill that position. To make matters more complicated, I was then placed in the role the other person wanted, which caused hurt feelings and stress for all involved.
