Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mi9 Retail.
Software Engineer
It was a multi-stage process, and overall, it wasn't too tough, felt pretty welcoming. Some interviews were just introductory chats, while others were technical to gauge my skill level, but they only involved straightforward programming tasks, no tricky questions. The interviewers were nice and patient, and I got feedback quite fast.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Software Developer
First, there was an online test. Then, an on-site interview followed. The on-site was pretty standard: they gave a quick overview of the company, went over my background and the online test results, and we talked about how to optimize the answer I submitted for the online test. Specifically, we discussed improving the time complexity and removing unnecessary code during optimization.
- Online test was a tree traverse problem.
- Can you give a brief description about the company?
- Can you walk me through your background?
Software Engineer
The process involved a logical assessment similar to guessing patterns, followed by a technical interview with a Solutions Architect, then another technical interview with the Team Lead. The first three steps were generally positive experiences. The final stage was a culture fit interview with the General Manager, which was a poor experience due to the interviewer being late, seeming to seek a subordinate rather than an engineer, judging based on age, and generally showing disrespect.
- Can you explain what the event loop is?
