I went through 2 interviews in total: A 20-minute call with the Talent Acquisition team for an initial fit check, and a video interview with a manager. The video interview was very uncomfortable, I felt stupid and awkward. I was asked all sorts of questions except for IQ and brain teasers, and this was for a working student position. I knew what I had applied for during the interview. The questions were supposed to be technical and related to the advertised position, but they were anything but technical. Also, the interviewer works in a completely different department! I asked why I was being asked these questions and if they were relevant to the position. The answer was: 'There is no specific position.' Wow. Very professional. After a week, I was told by phone that I was rejected. The reason given was that I was not technically suitable for the position. But which position exactly?

Had a detailed phone interview with simple questions for the working student position. They asked about my resume and technical skills. Even though I more than met the requirements for the job, I never heard back. It seems they couldn't be bothered to give a response. A written rejection is common courtesy for a company, even if it's for students!
