Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MGM Resorts International.
Executive Assistant
I applied and got an interview invite pretty quickly since they were hiring fast and had tons of candidates. The VP and his current EA were super nice and chill, asking typical interview questions like 'tell me about yourself' and 'what's your related experience?'. I didn't get the job, but it was the first interview in 7 years that I totally didn't see coming, and it was a great experience.
- What is your understanding of Casino Marketing?
Executive Assistant
I applied online and got a call about a week later for an interview for the Executive Assistant Legal role at the new MGM Casino Resort at National Harbor. They're still building it but are hiring everyone. I interviewed at their National Harbor office with the attorney and what I think was the controller. They asked usual interview questions. The controller kept touching the attorney's arm and calling him a great boss, referring to him only by his last name. Then the attorney asked me a question, and while I was answering, he pushed up his sleeve and looked at his watch. It felt like he didn't know how interviews work, so I cut my answer short, ended the interview, and left. I decided I didn't want to work with him.
- Describe the hardest work problem you faced and how you resolved it.
Administrative Assistant
It was a virtual interview. I was nervous but I feel it went well. Can’t wait to hear back, hopefully by Friday! Will update once I know; If I do get the offer, I’d gladly accept.
