Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MGH Group.
Management Trainee
I had a 15-minute HR interview with MGH Group for the MT (SnP) role. They asked me some basic questions about my CV, background, education, and projects I've worked on. They also asked why I wanted to join MGH Group and about my career plans. The interview went pretty well.
- What is your motivation for joining MGH Group?
Management Trainee
It was a 6 step interview. First, a FGD, then a Written Test. After that, a Panel Interview followed by a Group Case Solving session. Finally, there was an HR Head interview and then an MD Interview. I got rejected from the HR Head interview round for reasons unknown. The whole process is too long and not efficient. They ask similar questions in both the Panel interview and the HR Head interview, so rejecting a candidate at this stage seems unlikely.
- Could you please introduce yourself?
- What are your salary expectations?
- Regarding bond signing and penalty issues, what are your views?
Management Trainee
It was like 6 or 7 rounds in total. We started with a group discussion (GD) and then a written test, all on the same day. Two days later, I had a panel interview, and that's probably where I didn't make the cut. The interview was pretty straightforward, with basic questions. It felt quite short, honestly. I'm not sure if they weren't evaluating candidates thoroughly, or maybe something I said didn't sit right with them, because I thought I did well. The next stages, which I wasn't invited to, were supposed to be a group case study presentation, then an HR interview, and likely an MD interview.
- Given your engineering background, could you explain why you're interested in this role?
- What are your thoughts on salary expectations?
- Would you be open to signing a three-year employment bond?
