First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MGA Research Corporation.
Test Engineer
I applied online and then set up an interview time the very next day. This was honestly one of the worst interviews I've had. The HR person I talked to seemed unhappy with their job or the facility location, and it really came across in our conversation. I was taken aback having to spend time convincing them I understood what an engineer does and that I'd be fine with the location. They don't send rejection emails, which feels really unprofessional after an interview, especially since it's so easy to automate.
- Standard personality questions.
Test Engineer
I met the team and saw the work, which was a great way to think about how I could fit in. My technical interview after that was a bit tough, and I had some trouble communicating over the phone. I think interviewing in person would have made me feel more confident.
- Could you tell me about the systems and programs you are familiar with?
- Can you explain your understanding of fundamental physics principles like Newton's laws?
Test Engineer
It was a Zoom Call where they first asked if I knew about the company and the roll they play in the automotive and aerospace field. Then they asked if I had any materials testing experience. After that, they showed photos of tested parts, described the test, and asked what kind of failure the part suffered.
- Do you have any materials testing experience?
