Management Trainee
Applied for management training, got a call the next day. Then they invited me for an in-person interview. Later that day, they invited me to a second round, which was job shadowing. I went to the office and there were many other candidates. We each followed one or two coordinators for 3-4 hours. We had lunch where they explained the company and the role, mentioning they train people from scratch. It's a sales job, good for those interested in sales. The environment is friendly and makes you comfortable. The job involves going to different Walmarts (lots of driving) to sell Direct TV services. Good deals attract people if you can interrupt their shopping and get their attention. It's hard work and requires self-motivation. There are also morning meetings and training at the office. They care about employees' growth. Later that day, they called again to ask about my thoughts on the job, my experience, and if I felt interested and capable.

Inside Sales Representative
I applied online and Jessica from HR gave me a call to set up an interview. She was super professional on the phone and explained everything really clearly, answering all my questions. Then I met with Jordan, who talked about the company culture and what he's looking for in a candidate. He was really thorough and answered all my questions. I also got to shadow the role with their top performer, which made it super clear what I was interviewing for. I like how they do their interviews because it gives you a good idea of what the job actually is.
- How do you define success?
Sales and Marketing
After I applied online, I received a call to set up an interview. The recruiter gave me a brief overview of the role but no specific details. It was challenging to get concrete information about the day-to-day responsibilities without them using vague industry terms. It's important to probe for a clear understanding of the role before proceeding past the initial interview, as it's primarily in-store. They repeatedly mentioned it involves both sales and marketing, but didn't clarify specific duties beyond working in department stores.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
Recruiter
Be careful - they’ll tell you they’re transparent. But this is just code for unprofessional! Example: Using profanity/cursing in an interview. What’s more is they tell you to call back after the interview to think about your interest in moving forward with them for the Sit Pit (shadowing) after the in-person. To only say “our manager wants to review all candidates before moving forward.” The transparency is lost & so is your time! Be Warned!
- Could you tell me about yourself?
