First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mettler-Toledo.
Sales
So I had like 2 main interviews with my manager and then a quick chat with HR. The manager interviews, one was like a general chat, and the other one was more hands-on, where I had to pretend to be a customer and salesperson and pitch one of MT's products. I also had to give a presentation.
- What's your approach if a customer shuts you down right away, before you've had a chance to present the product's benefits?
Sales Representative
So the interview process is pretty straightforward. It starts with a phone screening call, which is pretty easy and just to get to know you. After that, there are two in-person interviews with management where they'll dive more into your skills and what you can bring to the table.
- What makes you a good fit for this position?
Sales Representative
I'm a former Mettler Employee, I've been with the company for over 3 years. I interviewed for multiple positions in Sales. They reached out to me even for positions I didn't apply for. It's very sad that after reaching the final interview stages, I received an excuse and didn't get the job. The last role I interviewed for is why I'm writing this. The position was advertised as remote, and everything seemed fine. The feedback I got was that they decided to go on-site, making me not the ideal candidate. I could provide all the details, but I don't want to waste more time. People need jobs to support their families. Please don't give them false hope.
- Tell me about your biggest challenge.
- Describe your greatest achievement.
