The principal reached out to everyone he was going to interview by email. The email had all the candidates' names and interview times. We didn't get to pick our interview times. But, we were told how long it would take for him to make his choice. After the one-on-one interview, he said he would pick the top two candidates and have them come back on a certain day to be interviewed by a panel. He emailed everyone he interviewed one-on-one and told them he was bringing three (not two) to interview before a panel.

We had a Skype interview that was about 20 minutes long with the executive principal and an assistant principal. They asked me about general teaching practices, how I'd manage native Spanish speakers in the classroom, and some questions about teaching in Spanish. It felt less formal than interviews at other schools in the district. The executive principal offered me the job right away.

First, I completed the online application, searched for openings on the site, and sent my resume to principals. Then, I got a call from the Metro Nashville Model Hiring Initiative for a phone interview. It was about 15 minutes long and mainly had scenario questions. My answers are going to be sent to principals at High Priority Schools, and I'm hoping to hear back from one soon.
