Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Metrolinx.
Project Manager
The interview process involved 2 rounds of online interviews. The first round was with HR and focused on STAR questions. The second round was with senior project managers, also asking STAR questions and about my experience. Overall, it was a pretty reasonable process.
- Can you share an instance where you resolved a conflict within your team?
Project Manager
Very traditional interview, I don't know how people are still asking same questions, they don't ask about your experience and what you did, they asked what will you be in 5 years and what is your strength and weaknesses, if a guy is working for 5+ years in every single company he was that's mean he is a good employee to stay that long in every company. also, I think all these interviews with Metrolinx are staged and they already have a candidate.
- What will you be in 5 years?
- What is your strength and weaknesses?
Project Manager
Applied online and got an interview invite which was online. Then had a HR interview where we negotiated salary and they eventually sent an offer letter. I also interviewed with the Manager and Senior Manager. It was a good recruitment experience overall.
- Can you briefly describe your background?
- What is change management, and how do you manage it?
- Tell me about a time a client made an unreasonable demand and how you handled it.
