This entry level job took several months and many interview rounds which felt like a lot for someone just starting out. It was a slow process given they are short-staffed and need to hire fast. The communication was fine, and the interviews went well, no tricky questions. The hiring staff were nice and professional.

First, HR did a screening to see if I was a good fit by asking about my experiences. Then, I had a whole day of interviews. It was 6 panel interviews and I also had to give presentations to some important leaders at MetroHealth.

I spoke with a recruiter for a phone screen, and then had two one-on-one video interviews. I was upfront about my salary expectations from the start, telling both the recruiter and hiring manager, and also noted it on my application. However, the offer was about $30k lower than what I consider my minimum. It would have been better if they had let me know earlier that they couldn't meet my salary needs before I went through the interviews.

They were fast to schedule an in-person after the phone interview, but then went silent. I followed up with no response. A year and a half later, they randomly asked if I was still interested. After that initial chat, there was radio silence for 6 months. The whole hiring process took 8 months with maybe 2 email exchanges. None of my questions were answered, and there was a lack of transparency about the role and company.
