Call Center Representative
First, we get to know each other, like you and the company, and why you want this job. Then, we do the technical part where I'll ask you stuff about call centers and working with Excel. Finally, there's a role play where you act as a customer service representative.
- Tell me about yourself.
- What is your understanding of our company?
- What motivated your decision to pursue a role in a call center?
Customer Service Representative
Submitted an application online and was contacted for a phone interview. After passing that, I had to complete an online assessment which was challenging due to the math section and took over an hour. If you pass that, you get invited for an onsite interview. The whole process from application to onsite took about a week. The onsite interview consisted of two separate 30-minute interviews with two different people. I was asked 9 situational interview questions. They also explained that I would need to pass a Series 6 exam after a 4-week training course, and failing it would likely result in not getting the job. They emphasized the importance of studying outside of work hours to pass the exam. The interviewers were friendly and approachable, and the building in the Ballantyne area is quite nice. I'm now waiting to hear back regarding an offer.
- Can you share an instance where you improved an existing process to make it more effective?
Customer Service Representative
I applied online through the MetLife website and a recruiter called me a few weeks later. First, there was a phone interview/screening with the recruiter where they asked basic questions about the position and confirmed the job description, schedule, and expectations. After that, there's an online personality test and job simulation. If you pass those, you'll get an interview with a hiring manager. That interview is more in-depth and they'll ask about customer service and your professional experience.
- Can you tell me about your customer service experience?
- What are your previous experiences related to customer service?
