I applied online and got a call from the recruiter. The first interview was a long one with the recruiter, then they passed my info to the hiring manager. After that, I interviewed with both the hiring manager and the person who was leaving the job, who I would be replacing.

So basically there were a few interview stages. I started by chatting with the hiring manager for the team I was applying to. Then I had a peer interview. Finally, I did a third interview with a Director from a related department. The whole thing took a few weeks, like about a month from start to finish to get the offer. Some of the interviews were in person and some were over Zoom.

I applied online through the company website and heard back from a recruiter. They set up a call for me with the hiring manager, who I think was the VP of total rewards. We spoke for about 30 minutes. They told me what the next steps were and said we'd set up another call, but then they ghosted me.

Behavioral Presentation

I spoke with the unit manager by phone after she contacted me about my application. The in-person interview involved 5 nurses with various roles on the unit. They were really nice and welcoming. It felt more like a chat than a rapid-fire Q&A. The staff seemed genuinely interested in learning about me and asked a few questions about my past experience listed on my resume. They asked about my decision to go into that specialty, my career aspirations, and my views on teamwork. I asked them what they liked most about their jobs at Methodist, and four of them mentioned they really enjoyed their colleagues, which was good to hear. At the end, a nurse gave me a brief tour of the unit, introducing the other nurses we met, and we made small talk. Overall, the staff were great and friendly, and the interview was very relaxed and comfortable for both sides.
