Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Merit Medical Systems.
Engineer
The interview process involved several rounds of virtual interviews where I had to record myself, which felt a bit awkward and time-consuming. After those virtual stages, I had a good in-person interview. Despite going through multiple stages, they ultimately decided not to hire anyone for the position.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
Packaging Engineer
I had a phone interview with the recruiter, who called me early and seemed quite cold. Then there was a 30-minute in-person interview where they really scrutinized my resume and made some frankly insulting remarks. It wasn't the experience I expected from a major manufacturer, and honestly, it turned me off. They mentioned having 30 applicants and that it would take weeks to hear back, and also said, "yeah, I don't think you're going to be happy here." Because of this, I won't be applying or recommending them.
- Can you explain the gap in your employment history?
Engineer
You'll have an interview with a manager and some other team members. They'll ask common interview questions about your background, work experience, and your interest in the company.
- What prior experience do you have that's relevant to this position?
