First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Meridian (Florida).
Recruiter
I had a phone screen with the Recruiter Director. He liked what he heard, so I had a phone screen with the internal recruiter. After that, I phone screened with the Team Lead Recruiter. The interview was supposed to be an hour, but time ran out before I could ask questions, so I emailed them. At first, the answers seemed okay, but after thinking about it, it was clear there was no work-life balance, some shadiness within the company (talking about past employees), and unrealistic metrics. Also, they didn't have set compensation when I asked. My excitement faded, and I lost interest in the company and the position. So, I withdrew my interest before the final phone screen with three people.
- What metrics are you currently meeting in your job?
Technical Recruiter
I applied through Indeed.com and was contacted by a Meridian recruiter. The first step was a 30-minute phone interview, followed by a one-hour FaceTime with the recruiter and hiring manager. They asked if I could travel for the role, which I agreed to. The last interview was a panel where I was questioned about having too much experience in a specific industry, despite the job requiring experience in a service-oriented industry. It was frustrating to fly out at my own expense without hearing back. I also felt the company culture wasn't a good fit for me.
- What is your motivation for pursuing a career in recruitment?
Technical Recruiter
Straight forward interview. Pleasant experience. Went over situational questions, how I would manage my volume of work, and how I would manage competing priorities using a systematic approach. Overall I don't think the timing was quite perfect.
- How would you research a role you had never recruited before in a timely manner to meet business needs?
