First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Meridian (Florida).
Recruiter
I had a phone screen with the Recruiter Director. He liked what he heard, so I had a phone screen with the internal recruiter. After that, I phone screened with the Team Lead Recruiter. The interview was supposed to be an hour, but time ran out before I could ask questions, so I emailed them. At first, the answers seemed okay, but after thinking about it, it was clear there was no work-life balance, some shadiness within the company (talking about past employees), and unrealistic metrics. Also, they didn't have set compensation when I asked. My excitement faded, and I lost interest in the company and the position. So, I withdrew my interest before the final phone screen with three people.
- What metrics are you currently meeting in your job?
Software Engineer
We had a 30 min chat with the hiring manager for the first round. Then a technical online whiteboarding interview for the niche (frontend framework React and NextJS). The third round covered all-rounded OOP concepts, tested data structures, common algorithms questions, and conceptual understanding of how client and server works.
- Can you explain asynchronous API calls using Axios? Also, what does a promise statement do?
Accounts Payable Specialist
I was sent to an interview by Sarah Sarmento at DaVita for what I thought was supposed to be an Accounts Payable position. However during the interview it became apparent that they were looking for an Accounts Payable Systems Analyst. Be careful if Meridian contacts you about a possible job opportunity.
- I was expecting Accounts Payable questions but was asked systems questions instead.
Peoplesoft Functional Analyst
The interview process was pretty standard, with usual questions and answers. The recruiter knew their stuff about the role and what they were looking for.
- Can you describe your past roles and experience working as a consultant?
